Risk/Threat/Vulnerability Assessment
Estimated Fee Range: $3,000- $30,000
We conduct Risk/Threat/Vulnerability Assessment of project sites using the Department of Defense (DOD) CARVER-Based Methodology. Carver (Criticality, Accessibility, Recuperability, Vulnerability, Effect and Recognizability) is an all-threat – all hazards assessment tool that has served as the standard for security assessments of government facilities for years. The 6-step process results in the identification of the best practices to mitigate an existing or potential vulnerability to protect a critical asset. This provides a useful tool for the client to weigh the mitigation alternatives associated with the threat. This service is applicable to new development and renovation of existing facilities.
CPTED Analysis
Estimated Fee Range: $2,500- $20,000
We conduct a Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED) survey of a site. The task includes a walk-thru of the site and its environs to identify CPTED opportunities and conflicts that may impact the safety and security of the facility users. The survey is conducted during and after working hours. Crime/disorder trends of the site and its immediate surroundings are identified based on crime statistics/public safety “calls for service,” demographics of the intended users and consideration of likely victimology issues, and interview with the local public safety personnel and surrounding facility security personnel. This service is applicable to new development and renovation of existing facilities.
MAJOR Analysis (Multiple Assessments Joining Operational Requirements)
Estimated Fee Range: $5,000- $50,000
This unique process developed by our company is a methodology that integrates security design with other design disciplines prior to conceptual design. The service evaluates the proposed layout of buildings, vehicle and pedestrian circulation, and other site components that have a direct impact on the ability to achieve a desired level of protection (LOP). This process includes a security charette for all stakeholders, followed by a written security program to guide the design development process towards attaining the LOP. This service is equally applicable to new and existing facilities.
Schematic Plan Review
Estimated Fee Range: $4,000- $25,000
We conduct a thorough review of the site and architectural design development documents prepared by the design team to confirm that the intended level of protection (LOP) and other security measures will be met by the proposed plans. This service is applicable to new development and renovation of existing facilities.
Security Construction Documents Review
Estimated Fee Range: $5,000- $50,000
We provide supporting documentation associated with the layout and construction of security measures proposed for a project site. The plans include general installation requirements associated with the interior and exterior security design elements, excluding structural and electrical design. The service includes the preparation of details and specifications for all aspects of security, including but not limited to perimeter security elements (e.g., fences and active barriers), building access control (card readers, screening equipment), electronic surveillance (e.g., CCTV), alarms (intrusion detection, duress), and security operations center and reception area security-specific equipment (e.g., monitor, recorder, control station). Additionally, the service includes coordination in the design of communications and door hardware from a security perspective. This service is applicable to new development and renovation of existing facilities.
Construction Administration
Estimated Fee Range: $5,000- $20,000
We will attend on-site pre-construction meetings, respond to contractor RFI’s, and review shop drawings. Services also include attendance at on-site construction progress meetings to review security improvements. During the final construction progress meetings, a punch list is prepared listing inconsistencies or incomplete work, along with recommended corrective actions. This service is applicable to new development and renovation of existing facilities.
Security Consultation
Estimated Fee Range: $4,000- $50,000
We provide security consultation on an as-needed basis to facilitate the implementation of the selected security improvements (electronic surveillance/access control etc…) for a specific project. This task includes review of the Construction Documents/Specifications/Submittals prepared by the design team to ensure that the construction complies with the security intent. Services include meetings and conference calls. This service is applicable to new development and renovation of existing facilities.
Security Policy Review and Development
Estimated Fee Range: $2,500- 30,000
We review and/or prepare Security & Operational Policies and Procedures to supplement security devices and programs for your company. The documents provide useful guidance for routine security management as well as crisis management. This service is applicable to new development and renovation of existing facilities.
Security Training
Estimated Fee Range: $2,000- $50,000
We provide on-site training to facility managers and/or staff in topics ranging from basic security awareness to crisis response, such as an active shooter scenario. The training enhances the overall prevention and response to potential threats as well as providing instruction in the security measures designed by my company. The training can be a one-time event or a re-occurring program. Additionally, the training will provide certification units from various crediting agencies.
